Travel Awards for Scientists in the USA
IPGSA has received a US National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to fund 11 Travel Awards for primarily graduate students, postdocs and early career faculty (pre-tenure or less than 10 years from PhD) to attend the International Plant Growth Substances Association IPGSA 2025 Conference, to be held in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA, from 29 June to 3 July 2025. This award of $1750 USD will go towards covering the registration fee, 5 nights of housing, and partial travel expenses towards airfare. Although we do not yet have received the funding from the NSF, we are accepting applications at this time so that, when funded, we can quickly make decisions about the award so that individuals can make travel plans. We will inform all applicants if eventually the grant is not funded.
Travel Awards for International Scientists
The IPGSA has secured funds for 11 Travel Awards of $1,750 USD for scientists working outside the USA, to attend the International Plant Growth Substances Association IPGSA 2025 Conference, to be held in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA, from 29 June to 3 July 2025. This award can be used to offset the costs of registration, lodging and travel to the conference.

Eligibility
The awards are targeted primarily to graduate students, postdocs and early career (pre-tenure or less than 10 years from PhD) faculty. For USA Travel Awards, the awardees are not required to be U.S. citizens, but must be studying or employed in the USA. For International Travel Awards there are no citizenship requirements, but scientists need to be working on institutions outside the USA.
To Apply
Applicants should submit the following:

a scientific abstract for the research they will present at the symposium

a CV

a brief personal statement (limited to 350 words) of research goals, the reasons for attending the symposium, an explanation of how the meeting will benefit professional growth, and a description of financial need

a letter of support from the research mentor that indicates support for the applicant’s participation and describes financial need (not needed for faculty applicants)
